Youth Skate Camp

Because of your support, groups of campers at Skate Like A Girl SF Bay Area’s Summer Youth Skate Camp were able to learn more about skateboarding and meet new friends.

We appreciate Skate Like A Girl SF Bay Area for their partnership, leadership, and inclusivity. What they are doing for the youth and skate community embodies what we are working for at the Pablo Ramirez Foundation.

Oaktown Jazz Workshops

This summer, Oaktown Jazz Workshops added two more classes to their class list with Live Audio Reinforcement and Vocal Ensemble classes, hosted a Young Musician Showcase, and are now able to offer even more private lessons.

Also, their youth performance group has played at the Bandcamp Record Store and Performance Space and National Night Out at the West Oakland Library. Featured above is a photo from one of the performances!

Power of Pablo at the Harvey Milk Center

For the month of September, a selection of photographs will be on display at the esteemed Harvey Milk Center in San Francisco. These photos debuted as part of the Power of Pablo Group Show back in March. Featured photographers include Ando, David Gutierrez, Ed Templeton, Ryan Garshell, Mac Kelly, Michelle Fernandez, Dan Zaslavsky, and Noah Halpern-McManus.

The photos will be viewable during business hours, which from September 1st to September 6th will be 9 AM-5 PM. After September 6th, business hours will be Tuesday-Friday 9 AM-6 PM, and Saturday 9 AM-6 PM. All of the photos on display are available for purchase on our website. 100% of the proceeds from the photos will benefit the Pablo Ramirez Foundation.

We are honored to have these photographers generously donate their works to the foundation and are thrilled to offer locals in San Francisco another chance to view them on display. Youth Arts Exchange Pablo Painting Parties

For the past three months, we have partnered with Youth Arts Exchange in San Francisco to host a monthly Pablo Painting Party for the community. These meetups are aimed to connect up-and-coming, professional, and aspiring artists to collaborate and learn together.

If you haven’t gotten the chance to join us yet and are in the area, our next meetup is on Saturday, September 17th at [X]Space in SF. Pull up and paint with us!
