2023 Year in Review

As we close out 2023, we at the Pablo Ramirez Foundation want to thank everyone for all your support.

February 2023
Pablo’s 30th Birthday
in San Francisco

February brought a special celebration for Pablo’s 30th birthday in San Francisco, with a special board release and t-shirt collaboration with the legendary skate shop FTC. We had a release party on Friday night at the store and a skate jam on Saturday at Waller St. skate park. It was amazing to share space with so many friends.

San Francisco Skate Club Scholarships

Through the events we hosted we were able to provide a scholarship fund in Pablo’s honor for the SF Skate Club. These funds specifically allowed students to attend summer camp for free and their after school program that Pablo always loved to help volunteer at.

March 2023
NYC Skate Forum

March brought the 1st ever NYC Skate Forum hosted by the NYC Parks Dept. Brooklyn Parks Commissioner Marty Maher was joined by our local politicians and community members to talk about the future of skateboarding in Brooklyn and plans to seek funding for the Brooklyn Skate Garden.

Zane Timpson Scholarship x YMCA Camp

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been sending skaters to the weeklong YMCA Sequoia Skate Camp in honor of pro skater Zane Timpson, one of Pablo’s best friends. This scholarship fund continues to help young people with limited financial opportunities go to skate camp, which gives them these once in a lifetime experiences.

Summer Youth Clinic with Council Member Crystal Hudson & Pansy & Greater Direction

We had an amazing day on August 26th at Golconda Skate Park helping to organize the Summer Youth Skate Clinic, hosted by New York City Council Member Crystal Hudson and in partnership with Pansy Skate and Greater Direction.

Lots of hype, smiles, new tricks, and friends made, but most important…. This is what community looks like. We’re inspired to help kids, families and our community come together through the power of skateboarding.
